Q: Do I need to complete my Familiar's reference sheet immediately?
A: Nope! Go at your own pace. All we ask is that you please respond to your welcome message and let us know which two animals you plan to combine, and the Familiar's gender, so we can update your info on the Membership List.

Q: Does The Monster Makers have any deadlines for submissions?
A: Only World Events have deadlines, which are listed as countdowns on the main group page. No quest has any deadline, and World Events are completely voluntary. Complete at your leisure!

Q: How many Familiars can I have? How do I get more?
A: New members are allowed a maximum of 5 Familiars. To roll a new Familiar, please visit the Request Another Familiar page and comment using the provided form template.

Q: The reward for the Keeper Sheet quest is a Beginner Skill. Can I put that Beginner Skill on the reference sheet when I submit it to save time?
A: Yes you can! But please remember to comment on the Current Quests page to let us know that you've completed the quest and which skill you chose so that it can be added to your Keeper's stats on the Membership List.

Q: Are physical feature upgrades one-time use?
A: Yes. But there are Advanced and Rare Keeper Skills that allow you to use physical upgrades whenever you like. Earn upgrades AND skills by completing quests!

Q: What does the __________ skill do?
A: All of the skills—with the exception of certain Keeper Skills that allow for greater Familiar customization, special Familiar control, or the keeping of additional Familiars—are open to interpretation. It's up to you to depict your Familiars or your Keepers using these skills, so we figured we'd give you the creative leeway to come up with imaginative ways for them to do so!

Q: Why is there a “???” in my skills/upgrades section of the Membership List?
A: This means that you completed a quest or a world event that had skills or upgrades as a reward, but you failed to notify us of which skill or upgrade you wanted. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS comment to the Current Quests page when you complete a quest, or, in the case of world events, reply to your Rewards note with your skill/upgrade choices! With upgrades in particular, you cannot use them until they are properly in your inventory, so it's in your best interest to respond promptly in order to continue customizing your monsters!

Q: Can I show my Familiar learning a skill as a part of the World Event?
A: Often *having* a certain number of skills is a prerequisite for participating in a World Event, and above that, most World Events give multiple skill rewards. So we ask that you please complete these separately. Skills are not hard to come by, and the skill quests do not have to be masterpieces!

Q: I've requested an upgrade be added to my Familiar, but I haven't updated their Familiar sheet yet. Can I still draw the upgraded Familiar in other quests?
A: Yes you can! Once you've requested the upgrade and it has been added to your Familiar's info on the Membership List, the upgrade becomes official.
